Get the Germs Before the Germs Get You!

It's that time of year, when the weather starts changing and germs start spreading. It's also the time of the year i start bringing hand sanitizer everywhere! Everyone, especially including myself hates getting sick. I don't know whats worse actually being sick, or having to miss class and make up what seems like an eternity of work  So to avoid both , I try to keep a healthy relationship with my immune system.

So i'v come up with a few tips, by using my common sense and some research , on how to avoid getting sick. Number one wash your hands and use soap, washing your hands with just water leaves germs lingering! By washing your hands your doing yourself and everyone else a HUGE favor. Think about everything you come in contact will all day and all the germs that your probably encountered. If you wash your hands more often your less likely to get germs and give germs. Also why i would advise not to share drinks etc, its an easy way for germs to travel!  Drink water, “Our body is made up of mostly water, and when we’re dehydrated, it’s just an extra stress on our system,” says Truax(www.glamour.com; How to Avoid getting Sick This Winter). Our bodies are already busy all day fitting off infection and what not,  the least we can do is keep it stress free by drinking plenty of water. Plus drinking water will prevent dehydrated/dry skin.

Eat alot of fruits and vegetable your body is getting more vitamins and antioxidants making it easier to fit off germs. Exercising is beneficial in alot of way, it boost your energy level and strengthens your immune system You should also get a good amount of sleep! Without sleep, your lucky if your bodies going to wanna do anything never mind fighting off germs. Your body needs time to rest and build up energy, so it's best to get at least a good eight hours of sleep every night.

And one more thing, if your think you might be getting sick make an
appointment with your doctor. If you are getting sick you want catch it at the beginning, the longer you wait the worse you'll feel.  Those were some helpful tips i suggest, but hey i'm no doctor. Don't hesitate to call up your primary car doctor and ask for some tips he/she recommends to prevent getting sick.
